About Broadcast1Source

Broadcast1Source is an evolution of EEO1Source which has been helping Broadcasters nationwide to comply with the FCC's EEO rules of 2003.

EEO1SOURCE was created by broadcasters (10 State Broadcasting Associations) and remains a non profit with one sole purpose i.e. "Meet the needs of Broadcasters nationwide".

EEO1Source offered several modules to assist broadcasters:

1.  Verifiable Broad Outreach to Prong 1 & Prong 2 recruiting sources utilizing an automated Fax and email system.
2.  Record of Interviews and source of hire for all candidates.
3.  Record of Prong 3 Outreach Initiatives
4.  Module for conducting self assessment and record of EEO complaints received.
5.  One click generation of EEO public File
6.  One click ability to respond to FCC's random audits.

Broadcast1Source keeps all of the above and has added the following modules to make compliance and record keeping easier than ever:

1.  Alert system to "nudge" you in cases where the job was posted but not notified, or if Prong 3 activities or self assessment is needing your attention.
2.  An ability to post "Blind Jobs" (where the SEU's name and location is not identified) and to export these jobs to your SEU when appropriate.
3.  Ability to create multiple customized list of Recruiting agencies to notify based on your needs. These include:

Ø   Default List
Ø   National List
Ø   Market List
Ø   State List

Another area that has been painful for broadcasters is the need to create and post an electronic Public Inspection File (ePIF). Recent debates between the FCC and NAB as well as other Broadcasters groups have discussed the cost of doing this and estimates from 10s to 100s of thousands of dollars were argued.

Broadcast1Source now offers an ePIF functionality along with "My archives" to allow Broadcasters to comply with the ePIF requirements for a fraction of the "debated" costs and upload and save or Upload and publish to a customized web page with a Station identifier URL, eliminating the hardware, bandwidth and Web Master costs.

We hope you will find all of these services a strong value proposition and that these services help minimize hard costs, personnel costs and the distractions that these new requirements can cause to your core business.

Broadcast1Source is available to broadcasters who are members of the 10 State Broadcasters associations as well as nationwide regardless of their location or State Broadcasters association.

As a member of a state broadcasters association that is unaffiliated with Broadcast1Source, your initial costs are as follows:

Ø   Registration Fee: $200
Ø   Service Pack: $1100
